The entire Cubbi Buddi play sofa and add-on range is proudly Australian owned + made and has been meticulously designed by Paediatric Occupational Therapists (us!). We have designed a full range of add-ons that extend the play potential of the original Cubbi Buddi – we hope that you love them as much as we do!
You’ll find that your Cubbi Buddi will only need a spot clean for most messes as one of the amazing features of the fabrics we’ve chosen is that its naturally stain resistant! To keep your Cubbi Buddi in tip top shape feel free to vacuum weekly (if you can get the kids off it).
> Deep cleaning
Our fabric, plush and corduroy covers have undergone extensive commercial testing to make sure that they can be gently machine washed on a cold cycle without any shrinkage. So if you need to do a deeper clean, simply zip off the covers (ensure you do the zippers back up for washing once removed from foam), pop it on a cold gentle machine wash on its own and line dry in the shade. We recommend washing all covers together, leaving the covers zipped up during washing and to use a washing agent that does not contain optical brighteners and suitable for colour retention such as Earth Choice (3 X Ultra concentrate liquid), Eco Store Laundry Powder or Omo Colour.

All spills on the Cubbi Buddi vinyl cover can be easily wiped off with a simple cloth. If using heavier duty cleaning products is your jam, then our fabric is strong enough to handle it so don’t worry. Please note however, that silicone based cleaners should not be used.

All our fabrics undergo rigorous testing to meet Australian Fire and Safety standards and Oeko-Tex Standard 100, while also boasting SWISH natural stain resistance coverage.

We searched high and low until we found a fabric that ticked all the boxes when it came to withstanding heavy daily use and mess with kids, being easily washable AND looked good in your home!
Our fabric is classed as 'Heavy Commercial Grade' meaning it can be found in hotels, schools and shopping centres - so you know it means business! Super long wearing, naturally stain resistant, anitmicrobial leather look vinyls, easily spot cleanable and machine washable. All fabrics undergo rigorous testing to meet Australian Fire and Safety standards and Oeko-Tex Standard 100, while also boasting SWISH natural stain resistance.
Research shows that toys that use pulling and pushing aid in child development by building gross motor and fine motor skills, coordination, and spatial awareness. The handles can also be used to clip motivating toys to, extend imaginary play and simply makes moving the Cubbi Buddi around easy peasy!
YKK Safety Zippers are colour matched to your chosen Cubbi Buddi fabric with lockable sliders for the ultimate sleek but safe and strong design for little curious hands.
Our covers are all double stitched with top stitching for that extra fancy touch but ensures strength and longevity.
Cubbi Buddi is made from three different grades of high quality, high density open cell polyurethane foam. Our foams have an antimicrobial treatment applied which helps to control dust mites and other household bugs and therefore reduces allergies, asthma and bacterial growth. The inside of the Cubbi Buddi range uses GECA (Good Environmental Choice Australia) Certified foam. This means that the product is better for our environment and reduces the impact on our health so you know that you are getting the best quality. Your Cubbi Buddi is not treated with any additional fire retardant chemicals. Cubbi Buddi foams are guaranteed to contain no CFCs, Methylene Chloride, PFAS, or Formaldehyde. Safety for your family is our highest priority and it needed to hold up to all that play can throw at it!
